Got a few new photos posted up in the gallery. Got more to come aswell; some that I’ve photographed and not had time to sort through and some that I’ve yet to get a photo of. Been doing some fun work recently though so expect fun photos to follow
Big thanks to Linda for coming over from Sweden and sitting out a brutal 6hr session on her ribs. Really enjoyed making another owl
In other news; the workshop had it’s first birthday this week! April 12th. We have a new receptionist/manager starting next week and we’re steaming ahead towards summer so it’s all go as per usual. I reckon one of Kirk’s frst jobs will have to be to update the website as we’ve not put anything on there in ages!

Got 4 new photos in the gallery. I tattooed the bottle on Niki at Brighton Tattoo Convention earlier this year but couldn’t get a decent photo there. I tattooed the dagger and snakes on his stomach last night so got photos of both at the studio. We did the winged dagger/snakes all in one sitting with all credit going to Niki for sitting so still and dealing with such a gnarly session. The wolf coverup was also done in one tough sitting on one tough customer! I did the gentleman flamingo as a fun little walk-in at the shop. We tattooed a bunch of ladies from cornwall who were visiting Brighton for a birthday weekend and were all exceptionally nice and brought us cakes. Couldn’t have had a nicer weekend of work

Ted came down from London to get tattooed over the weekend. This piece is based loosely around a painting I did ages ago of a Tanuki masquerading as a teapot. Been itching to tattoo this for a while now; wish I’d drawn some balls on it though! He he

Been re-formatting my portfolio this month and it’s turned out to be a mammoth task. I have photos spanning the last six years, taken on numerous different cameras in different settings, sizes and treated in a myriad of different ways. The quality of the new photos puts some of the older ones to shame so I wanted to re-format everything to a4 using my current processes. I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out but there were times I wondered if I’d set myself too great a task.
I re-photographed a few older pieces aswell in instances where the old photograph simply wasn’t good enough. I finished and photographed the tattoo of Bubo I started a while back too. I love the original Clash of the Titans and Ray Harryhausen’s animation has always been a big inspiration to me so it was a real pleasure to do.
